The BLS Professional Development (ProDev) Committee focuses on providing growth and development opportunities for BLS members.  Annually, we host the BLS May Quarterly Breakfast Consortium meeting, provide one (1) CEU healthcare related educational event and one (1) (non-CEU) educational event for members.  RN nursing scholarships are awarded every year to 2 students at St. Petersburg College.  Two additional sub-groups provide benefits to members (see below).  Visitors and potential members welcome to check out and join our super professional development team.

BLS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
SUB-GROUP: PROFESSIONALS IN TRANSITION (PIT)

If you are unemployed, underemployed and thinking about a work transition
you are welcome to join our support group, member or non-members.
As an active monthly member of our PIT group, free BLS membership for 6
months is extended. What a perk! This is not a committee. This group is all
about assisting those in transition whatever way we can. Phyllis Bracken,
Marketing, Oak Manor volunteers to assist in resume writing with her
extensive background in Human Resources. We had 2 new members in March.

Employers with any openings are encouraged to let PIT know about
your needs and we will initiate a blind email to our group. If an employer
has a desire to attend our meeting and briefly share with us what they
are looking for, please call Ginny. Thank you.

We meet monthly, 3rd Thursday, Panera Bread, Largo (see online BLS Calendar
