Epic Generations

EPIC Generations, as part of Empath Health, was created to educate the community and respond to the challenges facing LGBTQ elders in Pinellas County. EPIC Generations will provide:

  • Support services of visiting and peer telephone reassurance
  • LGBTQ elder social activities
  • LGBTQ cultural competency training for aging providers and community groups about special needs of LGBTQ seniors

Sage (Services & Advocacy for Gay Elders)

SAGECare provides LGBT competency training and consulting on LGBT aging issues to service providers.  SAGECare offers the added benefit that qualifying agencies may receive a national credential to highlight the percentage of staff trained.

Sunshine Senior Center (St. Petersburg)

The Sunshine Center is a nationally accredited multi-service center where seniors gather for support, socialization, fitness and other services provided for older people. The resources and activities available at this center help many older people remain a vital part of their communities.
